Three books will be read in this session that opens with a group of women reading O Pequeníssimo Livro de Ti (Kotter, 2023) by Rita Tormenta, a poet of everyday life. In our second moment, Joaquim Paulo Nogueira guides men and women in a theatrical reading of the last chapter of his novel Puta de Vida (Abysmo, 2021). And to close our meeting, Mário Fava Fagulha and friends will read poems from O Poeta (2022), a posthumous compilation of the Torranense poet Abel Fava Caipira (1937-2019), whose verses picture the Alentejo as a stage for everyday life. The session promises conversation and debate, and revelations that only spoken poetry and dialogue – as if on stage – are capable of conveying. This is C-T’s second literary soiree.
